No secret what the quarry is here, the silver ghost of the flats...Bonefish. Bonefish Bay Resort practices catch and release. Fish in the 3 to 5 lb category are plentiful, with the Big Ones up to 20 lbs possible.

Along the beaches there is fast fishing for Permit, Jacks, Grouper, Snapper, Sharks and Barracuda with fly or spinning gear. Barracuda up to 5 feet will challenge your nerve and arms with fast, slashing strikes and wild acrobatic displays.

The geographic vastness of the Andros Island flats can best be described in the following manner: If you could, hypothetically, pick up all the flats surrounding Belize, Christmas Island, Ascension Bay and Turneffe Island, place them around Andros, there would still be room for the flats of Los Roques. Over 1,000 square miles of fishable terrain await the visiting angler in Andros, and, unlike many destination areas, most are very wadeable. Simply put, nowhere in the piscatorial hemispheres does such an abundant resource exist as the flats of Andros Island, Bahamas

Under new management, The Bonefish Bay Club of South Andros is located 15 minutes from the South Andros Airport in the southern section of the island and is a short distance from some of the finest bonefishing on the planet earth. Literally hundreds of square miles of bone-white flats offer guests unlimited opportunities to challenge some of the largest and most cooperative bonefish anywhere. Each day, guests select to fish nearby creeks or the vast ocean flats of the South and West Coasts. Breakfast is early, dinner is late, and in-between is some of the best fishing imaginable.

The lodge has 10 clean and comfortable, air-conditioned rooms, each with tiled floors, telephones, cable television and private baths with showers. Additionally, our guests may select to stay in our modern 3 bedroom, 2-bath townhouse.

Situated in a very quiet area and right on the ocean, a short and refreshing swim from our wonderful beach can follow a successful day on the flats, the nearby reef, or the deep blue water of the open ocean. Daily housekeeping is provided and laundry service is available as well

South Andros is approximately 200 miles Southeast of Miami, Florida, and 57 miles Southwest of Nassau. Western Airlines and Bahamasair each have morning and afternoon flights from Nassau to the island that last approximately 15 minutes. For groups as small as six persons, we strongly recommend a private charter from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, at approximately the same cost. Approximately one hour in length, a private charter is a great deal of fun and a most scenic experience. The Bonefish Bay Club has long-standing relationships with many charter companies and will gladly assist in your flight arrangements.

Upon your landing, there will be a van transport you to The Bonefish Bay Club, a short drive from the airport. You will quickly realize that, compared to other destination areas, South Andros is quite easy to reach as East Coast residents can depart early in the morning and, by using a private charter, be on the island early afternoon of the same day

The Bahamas is the ideal location for relaxing on the beach, being ever mesmerized by the crystal clear water. Guests of Bonefish Bay enjoy leisurely walks around the lodge…searching for shells, watching sunsets, and always keeping an eye out for the forked tailed sailing through the flats.
